Legislative Branch
The Legislative branch, Congress, has many responsibilities or powers like writing laws, confirming presidential appointments, approving treaties, granting money and others. Also, in the legislative branch, there are two houses, House of Representatives and the Senate. " In the House of Representatives, there are 435 members... the Senate has 2 members from each state" ( 8th Grade U.S. History Textbook). The vice president serves as the president of the Senate, but it doesn't take part in the debate/meetings, but can vote to break ties. The legislative branch checks on judicial branch and the executive branch by that the judicial branch can find the law unconstitutional, but the legislative branch can remove the judge if he/she are not doing their job properly. The executive branch appoints the judges, but the legislative has to approve them.
