"The framers of the Constitution created a system of checks and balances, which keeps any branch of government from becoming too powerful"( 8th Grade U.S. History Textbook). Each branch checks on the other two branches, and keeps the other branches from becoming to powerful and to dominant on the states. The Congress can pass laws, but the president can veto the laws with the majority vote from both of the houses, but the congress can override the presidents veto with a majority vote from both of the houses. The Judicial Branch reviews the laws that were passed by the Congress and they can declare if the law is unconstitutional or not.
